Playa panteon We have twenty-two rooms of varying sizes and types: 12 rooms in the original guest house at the entrance of our canyon, six bungalows and four rooms in the "El Cielo" complex built up high with a gorgeous view of our bay. We are situated in a canyon on 5 acres of tropical forest, only 100 yards from the bay of Puerto Angel and our beach, Playa del Panteón that is named after the colorful town cemetery.

Bungalows:

Each has two double beds and private bath with a patio outside to hang a hammock.(Two of the six bungalows have an additional single bed.) The bungalows, connected by small pathways throughout our canyon, are very private and set away from the main areas of La Posada such as the dining room, office and gift shop.

El Cielo:

This complex is built up high on the side of our canyon and requires some climbing to get to! There is access to the building by car. Three of the four rooms have two double beds and private bath; the fourth and largest room has two double beds and two singles. Above the rooms is a terrace that has a spectacular view of the bay where we have a small bar that serves beer and wine at sunset from 5-7 PM.

How to get here:plane

Puerto Angel is in the state of Oaxaca on the Pacific Coast. Direct flights on Mexicana Airlines from Mexico City to the airports of Huatulco or Puerto Escondido bring you to within a one hour taxi ride to La Posada. paintingA Mexicana subsidiary, Aero Caribe, flies daily from Oaxaca city to either airport. Our Restaurant:

We are open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Meals are served at our family tables in our open air palapa dining area. Our food is made with organic vegetables grown for us by friends in the Oaxacan sierra. We make all of our own whole wheat bread, muffins, granola, and it is all delicious as well as good for you!
