The rustic beauty of our area on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca is tranquil and underdeveloped…it is not a place of paved streets, shopping malls and resort infrastructure. If you are looking for an authentic experience of Mexico as it is, Puerto Angel is the place. A small fishing village that has done little to “gentrify”, has a very real charm of its own, local families on the beaches and all the color of Mexican life happen right along side the activities of those that are visiting.

Angel Canyon Community is located within our small, private canyon off of Playa del Panteon, the second small bay of Puerto Angel. We are a two minute walk from the beach and a short drive away from all the gorgeous open ocean beaches along the coast. It is no more than 15 minutes to reach these long, beautiful beaches with small palapas on them for fresh seafood with palm frond shade. The myriad of interesting places to explore in the area are unending as well as the world class sports fishing along our coast line. A few destinations in our area that are always worth visiting are a large estuary up the coast that is a National Park called Chacahua as well as the local Turtle Museum that was originally conceived through a program to save the near extinct Golfina sea turtle.
